Julio Sarmiento, LSW - LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy, Substance use Recovery & Harm Reduction

Julio Sarmiento, LSW

Looking to take a step into therapy can feel like a lot—and I appreciate you for taking the time to find what feels right for you. Life comes with unexpected challenges: navigating big transitions, feeling stuck in anxiety or depression, grief, or trying to heal from past experiences that still weigh you down. Maybe you’ve tried to push through on your own, but it’s gotten to a point where you know something needs to shift. That’s where I come in.

My approach is down-to-earth and person-centered. I believe therapy should be something that works for you, not a one-size-fits-all process. Whether you’re trying to make peace with your past, cut back on substance use, or simply figure out who you are during a season of change—I’m here to walk with you, not ahead of you.

I offer sessions in both English and Spanish, and I take pride in showing up for my clients as a Latinx therapist who understands how cultural identity, intergenerational stress, and systemic pressures can impact your mental health. I also know that growth looks different for everyone—and that healing happens at your own pace.
