Meet the Team
Julio Sarmiento, LSW
Looking to take a step into therapy can feel like a lot—and I appreciate you for taking the time to find what feels right for you. Life comes with unexpected challenges: navigating big transitions, feeling stuck in anxiety or depression, grief, or trying to heal from past experiences that still weigh you down. Maybe you’ve tried to push through on your own, but it’s gotten to a point where you know something needs to shift. That’s where I come in.
I work with teens (ages 16+), young adults, and adults—including many first-generation and BIPOC individuals who carry the weight of family expectations, cultural identity, and generational stress. As a bilingual Latinx therapist, I create a space where you don’t have to explain who you are or where you come from. You can just show up—and we’ll go from there.
My approach is down-to-earth, creative, and person-centered. I believe therapy should work for you, not be a one-size-fits-all process. Whether you're trying to cut back on substance use, make peace with your past, or find your footing during a season of change, I’ll meet you where you are. Sometimes that includes talk therapy, and sometimes it includes music, art, or even a little humor—because healing doesn’t look the same for everyone.
I offer sessions in both English and Spanish, and I’m deeply committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy. I also believe in honoring your pace. Real growth takes time, and your story deserves to be heard—without judgment and without pressure.
